Network & Coax Cable Stripper K-MS1

One palm-size rotary stripper for the two round cables of every install: coax prepped for its F-connector in three turns, network jackets off without a nicked pair.

Typical work: Preparing RG6/RG59 coax for F-connectors in satellite, CCTV and cable-TV work — jacket, dielectric and conductor exposed in the right steps; Stripping UTP/STP network cable jackets before crimping or punching down, without nicking the pairs; Telephone and intercom cabling: round Cat5 and flat satin cord in the same tool; A pocket stripper for combined network + coax installers who do not want a separate tool per cable family.

Features

K-MS1 key features

  • The reversible cassette is the whole coax range in one tool: one side strips RG59 and RG6, flip it over for RG7 and RG11 — the three blades step the jacket, dielectric and conductor back at a fixed 6 mm each, which is exactly the preparation an F-connector wants
  • Rotary stripping with a finger ring: squeeze the cable in, put a finger through the ring and spin — the blades travel around the cable at a constant depth, so the cut is even all the way round instead of deep where your thumb pressed hardest
  • The second hole is for round network cable: UTP and STP jackets and Cat5 round telephone cable strip in one to three turns, the blade depth adjustable so the pairs inside stay un-nicked — a scored pair is a link that fails at certification, not at stripping
  • Flat telephone cable strips between the blades, and a cutter is built in, so the tool covers the full copper prep bench: coax, network, telephone, cut and strip
  • Blade depth adjusts for the real spread of jacket thicknesses across brands — set it once on a scrap piece of the cable you are actually running, and every end after it comes out the same
  • Palm-size ABS body with no handles to open: it lives in a pocket or a pouch slot, weighs almost nothing, and the cassette swaps when the blades finally dull instead of the tool being thrown away
  • Private labeling made to your requirements — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the inner boxes and outer cartons, ready for your warehouse

How It Works

How It Works — rotary stripping, two cable families

A rotary stripper cuts with geometry instead of force. The cable sits in a channel at a fixed distance from the blades; spinning the tool around the cable carries the blades through a full circle at exactly that depth. Set the depth to the jacket — no deeper — and the cut separates the layer you want from the layers you must not touch.

For coax, the cassette carries three blades at stepped positions, so one spin prepares the end in the three steps a compression or crimp F-connector needs: jacket back, dielectric back, conductor exposed, each by its designed 6 mm. The cassette reverses because RG59/6 and RG7/11 differ enough in diameter that one channel cannot centre both — flip it, and the same tool covers the big feeder sizes too.

For round network cable the risk is different: the jacket is thin and the twisted pairs sit directly beneath it, so the network hole uses its own blade at a shallower, adjustable depth. Strip a test piece, open it, and check the pairs under the cut before running the batch — if a pair shows a score line, back the depth off a fraction.

Care is simple: blow the jacket crumbs out of the channels, keep the cassette seated flat, and turn the depth back when you change cable families. The blades are a cassette, not a sharpening job — when a strip starts to tear instead of cut, swap the cassette and the tool is new again.
