Longitudinal Center Pipe Stripping Tool
One hinged book of channels for the whole cable: nine sizes from 1.5 mm loose tubes to 11 mm center pipes, each channel holding its tube at the depth its wall needs. Open the book, lay the tube in its channel, close, and pull — ten super alloy blades score the wall lengthwise and the tube opens without a mark on the fibers.
Typical work: Longitudinal stripping of central loose tubes (center pipes); Mid-span window access on unitube cables; Loose tube opening at cable ends; Outdoor cable cutover and FTTx maintenance.

Center Pipe Stripper key features
- Nine channels in one tool: the four loose-tube sizes (1.5–1.9 to 3.0–3.3 mm) and five center-pipe sizes (Ø4.5, 6, 7, 8 and 11 mm) — the same book opens the small tubes inside a cable and the big central tube the cable is built around
- Opens like a book: the full-length hinge lets the two halves fold flat, so a tube is laid into its channel along its whole length — no threading, and the tube can be seated mid-span for window access
- Ten super alloy blades in screwed seats along the channels: each channel carries its blade at the depth its wall needs, set at the factory — hard center-pipe walls and thin loose-tube walls are scored by their own channel, not by one compromise setting
- Every channel is stamped with its size inside the book, so the right channel is found by eye before the tube goes in
- Built for central loose tube (unitube) cables: the Ø4.5–11 mm channels take the center pipes of unitube and beam-tube constructions that pocket slitters cannot swallow
- Supplied neutral and unbranded as standard; private labeling is made to your requirements — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the inner boxes and outer cartons, so the goods arrive ready for your warehouse

How the center pipe stripper opens a tube
A central loose tube cable — the unitube construction used across outdoor access networks — puts every fiber in one pipe at the center of the cable, and that pipe can be 4.5, 6, 8 or even 11 mm across. Pocket slitters stop at 3.3 mm. This tool starts there: its book carries channels for the big center pipes as well as the four standard loose-tube sizes, so one tool follows the cable from its outer tubes to its core.
The book opens flat on its hinge. Lay the tube or pipe into the channel stamped with its size — the channel is a half-round bed that cradles the tube along the whole length of the tool — and close the other half over it. In the closed channel the tube is held centred against the blade row: ten super alloy blades sit in screwed seats along the channels, each protruding by the fixed amount its channel's wall thickness needs. Draw the tool along the tube and the blades score the wall lengthwise; the tube then opens along the score and the fiber bundle lifts out clean.
Two jobs share the tool. At the cable end it strips center pipes and loose tubes ready for the splice tray. Mid-span, seat it over the pipe where the branch goes in, open a window, and take out only the fibers being spliced while the rest pass through — on unitube cables this is the standard way in, because the single central pipe is the only path to every fiber in the cable.
Always work in the channel stamped for the tube in hand: the channel sets both the grip and the blade depth, and a pipe resting in an oversize channel will be scored off-center. Keep the channel beds brushed free of gel and wall shavings so tubes seat to the bottom, and check the blade seats stay tight — they are screwed, and a loose seat changes the depth. Store the book closed to protect the blade edges.

Questions about the Center Pipe Stripper
Loose tubes or center pipes — which channels fit what?
Both. One set of channels covers loose tubes of 1.5–1.9, 2.0–2.4, 2.5–2.9 and 3.0–3.3 mm; the large channels take center pipes of Ø4.5, 6, 7, 8 and 11 mm — the central tubes of unitube and beam-tube cables. Every channel is stamped with its size inside the book.
Can it open a center pipe mid-span?
Yes. The book opens flat on its hinge, so the pipe is laid into its channel anywhere along the run; close the tool and draw to open a window for branch splicing while the remaining fibers pass through.
Can the Center Pipe Stripper carry our own brand?
Private labeling is made to your requirements and confirmed per order — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the tools, the inner boxes and the outer cartons, ready for your warehouse. The products most often labeled are the K-35 cleaver, the KS-1 Kevlar shears and the K-870 stripper.
Can we order a small lot, unbranded?
Yes. Neutral stock is held for the core range: small lots are welcome, you can mix models in one shipment, and restock as you sell. Prices are on request — EXW factory pricing.
