Fusion Splicer SD-6A
The compact crew splicer: 4-motor core alignment and a 6-second fully automatic splice, with a power meter and VFL built in for FTTH and backbone work.
Typical work: FTTH construction: backbone feeds and last-drop splicing from the same compact machine; Short-haul outdoor splicing and security-monitoring fiber runs; Maintenance crews who verify the joint on the splicer's own power meter and VFL instead of a second instrument; Small and mid-size contractors equipping several crews without flagship-machine budgets.

SD-6A key features
- 4-motor core alignment in a compact body: the motors centre both fibers on their cores in X and Y before the arc — the alignment class that keeps loss low on backbone and FTTH joints alike, in a machine a drop crew can carry all day
- A 6-second, fully automatic splice cycle: load the fibers, close the lid, and the machine aligns, arcs and estimates on its own — the rhythm that keeps a crew moving from closure to closure
- The test set is built in: an optical power meter and a visual fault locator in the same housing, so the joint is verified and the run fault-checked before the case closes — no second instrument bag on the pole or at the cabinet
- One 3-in-1 metal holder takes the fiber as it arrives: singlemode and multimode, bare fiber, pigtails and drop cable — no holder swaps between the backbone splice and the last drop
- A new-structure heater compatible with multi-type connectors, so connectorised protection finishes on the machine instead of in a separate oven
- Built for the conditions FTTH actually happens in: dust-proof, water-resistant and heat-resistant construction, a multi-gear adjustable handle that sets the working angle on a stool, a closure or a tailgate, and a hard case the kit lives in
- Private labeling made to your requirements — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the inner boxes and outer cartons, ready for your warehouse

How It Works — core alignment, automatic cycle, built-in checks
Alignment decides the splice before the arc fires. The SD-6A's four motors position the two fibers in X and Y while cameras watch the cores themselves — not the cladding around them — because the light travels in the core and only core offset becomes loss. That is the difference between a joint that passes an OTDR trace cleanly and one that has to be broken out and remade.
The cycle is automatic end to end: fibers in the 3-in-1 holder, lid closed, and the machine focuses, aligns, arcs and presents its loss estimate. Automatic matters in the field — it removes the operator-dependent steps, so the tenth splice of the day matches the first, whoever on the crew is holding the machine.
Verification lives in the same box. The built-in power meter checks the through-level the joint just made, and the VFL sends visible red light down the run to glow at a break or a crushed bend — the two checks that close an FTTH job, done before the case lid shuts rather than on a return visit.
Housekeeping is the accuracy budget: keep the V-grooves, electrodes and lenses clean, let the heater's presets match the sleeve in use, and the machine repays it with consistent joints. The kit is organised around that routine — cleaver, strippers, alcohol and brush all travel in the case with the splicer.

Questions about the SD-6A
Can the SD-6A carry our own brand?
Private labeling is made to your requirements and confirmed per order — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the tools, the inner boxes and the outer cartons, ready for your warehouse. The products most often labeled are the K-35 cleaver, the KS-1 Kevlar shears and the K-870 stripper.
Can we order a small lot, unbranded?
Yes. Neutral stock is held for the core range: small lots are welcome, you can mix models in one shipment, and restock as you sell. Prices are on request — EXW factory pricing.
